Warsaw is demanding an explanation from Moscow for the Russian missile flying onto its territory.
On the evening of December 29, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Wladislav Bartoszewski telephoned Charge d’Affaires of the Russian Federation Andrei Ordash and gave him the corresponding note.
In the morning, during rocket attacks on Ukraine, an object flew into Polish territory, which, most likely, is a Russian cruise missile Kh-22 or Kh-101.
According to unofficial information from military sources, the missile allegedly flew along the border and violated Polish airspace. After changing its trajectory, it returned to Ukrainian territory and was probably shot down by the Ukrainian air defense system.
Everything suggests that a Russian missile flew into Polish airspace. We have confirmation of this, this is confirmed by our data and the data of our allies,” said Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army Wieslaw Kukula.
