The American HIMARS multiple launch rocket system, along with ammunition, will be delivered to Ukraine by the end of this month.
The Ukrainian military has already completed training on the HIMARS MLRS, and by the end of June Ukraine will receive them for defense in Donbass, said General Mark Milley, head of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, following the Ramstein-3 meeting.
The American HIMARS multiple launch rocket system, along with ammunition, will be delivered to Ukraine by the end of this month. The U.S. and its allies have trained 60 Ukrainian troops in HIMARS and 420 in M777 howitzers, Milley said. In addition, training was conducted on the development of armored personnel carriers and drones.
Milley said the international community has provided Ukraine with 97,000 anti -tank systems – “more than the world’s tanks.” Probably refers to Javelins and other ATGMs.
In addition, according to Milli, Ukraine uses artillery better and more efficiently in fighting tactics than Russia.
“Obviously Russia has more artillery than Ukraine. Estimates are different: someone says 45 in one, 20 in one, 10 in one. But in reality, no one knows exactly what the numbers are., Unfortunately- palm. But it’s not a war of numbers, ”Milli said at the Ramstein-3 meeting.
According to him, the Russians use artillery only for no purpose to cover the cities with fire:
“Russia only shoots for the sake of shooting – without achieving any military objectives.”
Earlier, Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny spoke by phone with U.S. National Security Adviser Jacob Sullivan and Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley.
