The leader of the DPRK motivates this decision by the need to resist the “unprecedented confrontational measures of the United States.”
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has ordered the army, the munitions industry and the nuclear weapons sector to speed up preparations for war. This was reported by Reuters on Thursday, December 28.
“He (Kim – ed.) has set combat missions for the People’s Army and the munitions industry, nuclear weapons and civil defense sectors to further accelerate preparations for war,” the publication said.
North Korea’s leader called for resistance to what he called “unprecedented confrontational measures by the United States.”
According to Kim Jong-un, Pyongyang will expand strategic cooperation with “anti-imperialist independent” countries. In particular, North Korea is deepening ties with Russia as Washington accuses Pyongyang of providing military equipment to Moscow for use in the war in Ukraine, while Russia provides technical support to help North Korea expand its its military capability.
Let’s recall that the United States previously warned that the use of nuclear weapons by the DPRK would lead to the “end of the regime” of Kim Jong-un. The North Korean leader responded that “Pyongyang will not hesitate to launch a nuclear strike in the event of enemy provocation.”
