Militants of the radical Islamist organization Hezbollah are using a mosque in southern Lebanon as a site to launch rockets into Israel. The response video was published by the Israeli army on the X social network.
“Hezbollah opened fire on Israeli civilians from a mosque in southern Lebanon. This is not the first attack by Hezbollah targeting holy sites today,” the report said.
Religious buildings “must be sacred and not sacrificed to terrorism,” IDF officials emphasize.
The Israel Defense Forces also said that Hezbollah fighters will attack the Greek Orthodox Church of St. Mary in Ikrit in northern Israel on Tuesday.
“An anti-tank missile from Lebanon directly hit the church, injuring a civilian,” the report said.
