The Polish Law and Justice (PiS) party, which went into opposition after the lost parliamentary elections, is counting on the possibility of removing Prime Minister Donald Tusk from power with the help of President Andrzej Duda and the PiS-controlled Constitutional Tribunal.

This is stated in the material of Gazeta Wyborcza.
According to the newspaper, the right wing of PiS, led by leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski, expects that Tusk will want to bypass Duda’s veto on budget amendments that would allocate 3 billion zlotys to state broadcasters in the context of their reform.
To do this, Tusk will introduce appropriate amendments to the budget law (now they are set out in a separate bill), after which the president will send them to the Constitutional Court, where most of the members were appointed in the PiS cadence. The court must make a decision within two months from the date of such submission.
According to the Polish constitution, the adopted budget law must be presented to Dudi within four months after the draft is introduced, otherwise he can decide to dissolve parliament.
The previous PiS government of Mateusz Morawiecki submitted a draft budget for next year on September 29, therefore Duda must receive a draft budget by January 29.
Hardliners in the Law and Justice party demand that Duda use scorched earth tactics, writes Gazeta Wyborcza, citing sources in PiS.
