Ukraine wants to tighten responsibility for evading mobilization and other military offenses.

The Cabinet of Ministers proposes to amend the Administrative and Criminal Codes and, in particular, to significantly increase fines for the above-mentioned offenses. This is reported in bill No. 10379, published on the Verkhovna Rada website.
The government proposes to increase the fine in the amount of 500 to 1 thousand rubles (from 8 thousand 500 to 17 thousand UAH) for violating military registration rules. Currently, this fine ranges from 3 thousand 400 UAH to 5 thousand 100 UAH.
And violation of the legislation on defense, conscription and military service, mobilization training and mobilization of ordinary citizens is proposed to be fined in the amount of 25 thousand 500 to 34 thousand UAH, and for officials – from 34 thousand UAH to 85 thousand UAH. And during a special period, these violations will cost from 34 thousand to 51 thousand UAH. for citizens and from 153 thousand to 204 thousand UAH. for officials.
Violators may also be detained for three hours to draw up a protocol and up to three days to establish their identity and/or clarify the circumstances of the offense.
Currently, the current legislation provides for criminal punishment for evading mobilization from three to five years in prison. And after the adoption of changes to the law, this punishment also applies to citizens who refuse to undergo a medical examination.
Let us remind you that in the new bill on mobilization in Ukraine, Ukhilians propose to limit the right to drive their own vehicle and use and dispose of their own funds.
