The large landing ship Novocherkassk in the temporarily occupied Feodosia was attacked by cruise missiles.
The spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Yuri Ignat, said in a telethon on December 26 that the strike on the large Russian landing ship Novocherkassk in Feodosia was “a very big job.”
According to him, the attack on the enemy ship was carried out by tactical aviation pilots of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“A planned operation by both the Armed Forces and other security agencies. You are now showing truly stunning footage that a ship has been destroyed, probably with bullets. Heavy bullets. What exactly is this – they might announce later,” the spokesperson said.
Ignat noted that “enormous” work has been done. “The big landing ship was destroyed. And it filled the fleet which is now led by the cruiser Moscow,” he added.
The Air Force spokesman also reported that the Novocherkassk landing craft in temporarily occupied Feodosia were attacked by cruise missiles. Answering the question by what means, the missiles, hit the Russian ship, Ignat said: “With a wing.”
“What can we define here? We don’t have many of these weapons in our arsenal that were given to us by our partners,” he said on Radio Liberty.
Ignat recalled that Ukraine has Storm Shadow and Scalp missiles in service.
We remind you that tonight the tactical flight of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the large landing ship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet Novocherkassk in the Feodosia region with cruise missiles. The Armed Forces said there were ammunition on the ship, and it could also be carrying the Shahed.
The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit the large landing ship Novocherkassk with missiles fired from Su-24 aircraft.
