The monarch was pictured in the middle room of Buckingham Palace during the filming of the traditional Christmas address.
Buckingham Palace has released a New Year’s portrait of British King Charles III. The photo was published on the Instagram account of the royal family.
It was learned that the shot was taken while recording a traditional Christmas video message to people in the central hall of the residence.
“The central room opens onto the balcony of Buckingham Palace overlooking the Victoria Memorial and the shopping center where people gathered to celebrate the coronation,” the royal family wrote on the social network page.
The eldest son of the late Queen Elizabeth II posed in a blue suit and white shirt next to a Christmas tree decorated with “natural and eco-friendly decorations” including handmade toys, pine cone, brown glass ball, dried orange and paper. After King Charles records a video message, the tree will be replanted.
The annual royal address, broadcast at Christmas in England, has been a tradition for both the reigning monarch and families across the country since the 1930s.
