The mobilization of people with disabilities in Ukraine is planned according to a new bill that the Cabinet of Ministers registered in the Verkhovna Rada.

In this draft law, the 3rd disability group was removed from the deferment clause. That is, if accepted, such people in some cases may be mobilized. The current legislation exempts persons with disabilities from mobilization without specifying a specific group. This is stated in bill No. 10378, Ukrainian News reports.
Thus, in the army there may be people with the following diseases or defects:
- absence of one eye, blindness in one eye;
- paralysis of the hand, cramps of the upper limb, absence of fingers;
- stump of the femur or tibia. Shortening of the leg by 7 cm or more;
- absence of a kidney, lung or bladder;
- castration in men;
- inoperable jaw defect, when a person cannot chew normally and loses weight.
Let us remind you that on December 25, the Cabinet of Ministers registered a bill on mobilization in Ukraine in the Verkhovna Rada. People’s deputies proposed a number of innovations, including a change in the conscription age from 27 to 25 years, a 90-day leave for military personnel after captivity, and three months of basic military service for persons from 18 to 25 years old. Subpoenas are planned to be sent electronically.
Those who evade may be limited in their right to drive their own vehicle and to use and dispose of their own funds. Top officials and current deputies of the Verkhovna Rada will be entitled to a deferment.
