Ukraine should quickly receive additional military aid from the United States to resist Russian aggression.
The former commander of NATO’s allied forces in Europe, retired Admiral James Stavridis, on the Sunday radio show Cats Roundtable, called on the West to immediately provide Ukraine with all necessary military support. The Voice of America wrote this on Sunday, December 24.
“This is a very dangerous situation, and the real action is not really in Kyiv. The real action is happening in Washington… We must provide military support to Ukraine. Their goal is just,” Stavridis said.
He pointed out that the Russian army had already suffered heavy losses, “and not a single US soldier had been killed or even put in danger.” Stavridis emphasized that only 5% of the annual US defense budget is spent on it.
“We can afford it, and we need to. I’m only concerned about a war in Ukraine if the United States and our European allies don’t keep our promises to support Ukraine,” the admiral said.
We remind you that the US Senate announced that the issue of additional aid provided by the United States to Ukraine will be decided next year.
The White House called on the US Congress not to delay the decision on new aid to Ukraine. They emphasized that Putin’s victory would mean a threat to the entire world order.
