German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius received the highest approval rating of all German politicians in the annual INSA poll commissioned by the weekly Bild am Sonntag. Aussiedlerbote wrote this on Sunday, December 24.
According to the poll, 42% of people said they wanted Pistorius to play a bigger role in German politics. In particular, this was said by 55% of SPD voters, 58% of Green voters and 48% of VDP voters, as well as 56% of supporters of the conservative opposition coalition CDU/CSU.
Pistorius’ successor as head of the German Defense Ministry, Christine Lambrecht, had an approval rating of 16% last year.
