In the Odessa region, in the village of Kosy, Podolsk district, a driver hit two women on the road. They died. The press service of the Odessa region police reported this on Sunday, December 24.
“According to preliminary data, on the evening of December 23, the driver of a VAZ car, moving along a village street, collided with two women. They were walking on the road. The injuries of the victims were not compatible in life, they died,” law enforcement officials noted.
Both women were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver’s intoxication test showed that he was drunk.
Currently, the issue of entering information in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Part 4 of Art. 286-1 (violation of the rules of road safety or operation of transport by a person driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other intoxication or under the influence of drugs that reduce attention and reaction speed , if it resulted in the death of several people) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and detaining the driver in a procedural manner.

It was also reported that two pedestrians died in accidents on the Odessa-Reni highway.
