Israel is considering not killing Hamas Gaza leaders Yahya Sinwar and Muhammad Deif when the opportunity arises.
Hamas leaders can receive immunity if they agree to end the war. The Times of Israel reported this on Sunday, December 24.
According to the publication, Israel is considering not executing Hamas leaders in Gaza Yahya Sinwar and Muhammad Deif if given the chance, but offering them immunity by deporting them to Qatar or another country. Instead, they should sign an agreement to release all hostages held in Gaza and end the war.
“The leadership of the security services and the political leadership are discussing this option, although at the moment there is no concrete proposal on the table,” the publication writes.
At the same time, Israel said that any plan should not harm the stated goal – the destruction of the leadership and military potential of Hamas.
It was earlier revealed that Israel Defense Forces soldiers mistakenly killed three hostages in an operation in the Gaza Strip.
