The blocking of the checkpoint continued from the end of November.
Previously, protest organizers said that the protests would be suspended until early January 2024. They promise not to renew the blockade if the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Poland, Donald Tusk, provides them with a written statement on compliance with the demands.
At the same time, Polish carriers do not plan to end the blockade of the border with Ukraine during the holidays.
The organizer of the carrier strike in Doroguska, Edita Ozigala, says that the protesters will spend the holidays at the border blockade and have already drawn up a corresponding duty schedule.
The Minister of Infrastructure of the Republic of Poland Dariusz Klimczak noted that it is necessary to reconsider the trade agreement between Ukraine and the EU, because its provisions are very general, so Polish carriers were forced out of the market and lost orders.
Kyiv and Warsaw this week held negotiations on unblocking the border, after which the Polish side announced a “breakthrough on the issue.”
