Mobilization changes are being prepared in Ukraine – the bill is planned to be registered in the Verkhovna Rada. The authorities prepare a “matrix of responsibility or matrix of mobilization”, which society must understand. Defense Minister Rustem Umerov stated this in an interview Suspilny.
“We are discussing this with the Security and Defense Forces, the Cabinet of Ministers and the Verkhovna Rada. The main message is how you can enter the perimeter to serve the country, what happens when you enter it, how we train you , how you go for coordination, what kind of vacations there will be and when, how you will stop serving and leave this perimeter while the war continues,” the officer explained.

“We need to understand as a society how we will reoccupy the lands. And in this regard, mobilization, demobilization, postponement, social protection – these issues need clarification or change,” Umerov added.

“We have 3.5 thousand kilometers of line that we must defend. There are stabilization actions, there are defensive actions, there are counter-offensives, I won’t go into detail, but the top leadership just wants to give an answer to society. If the military said to the Cabinet of Ministers: “Please give “We need a certain number of people” – of course, the Cabinet of Ministers and the Verkhovna Rada are asking what we will do with those who are already serving, and what are the people doing that we want to mobilize? Therefore, we have started consultations and society will have answers to these questions in this bill,” the official said.
He also set a deadline for the public to know the details about the mobilization changes.
“In the coming days. We will agree with the Verkhovna Rada when we will register it (the bill – ed.), “said the minister.
We remind you that the Rada is preparing military registration for women. The bill states that during martial law, women will enter military service, but for combat positions – only voluntarily.
President Vladimir Zelensky said he would not sign the women’s mobilization law.
