Because of the war, for many Ukrainians the journey home has become a dream. A dream that many brave people are working to realize. Among them we are railway workers. We help loved ones meet and make sure everyone has their winter holidays on schedule. We believe that in 2024 we will bring back the dreams of Ukrainians, this is how railway workers commented on the clip that was released on the carrier’s social networks on December 24.
The video was set to the music of “Shchedryk”; the main character of the video is helped by Ukrazaliznytsia employees to create a festive atmosphere.
Ukrzaliznytsia opened the Christmas express season on December 23. In Kyiv and Lvov, flights of festive steam locomotives with a Christmas performance started almost simultaneously.
30% of the places are provided free of charge to children of dead and wounded railway workers, military personnel, as well as other social categories.
All seats for 20 locomotive flights were sold out at record speed, in Kyiv – in less than an hour. This demonstrates the Ukrainians’ need for positive emotions and miracles, which is why the railway delivers holidays on schedule. First of all, those children for whom this holiday is needed most,” said the head of the passenger department of Ukrzaliznytsia, Alexander Pertsovsky.
