The movement of trucks through the Medika-Shegini checkpoint on the Polish border continued on Monday morning, December 24. Polish farmers stopped their blockade, the State Border Guard Service (SBSU) confirmed.
“Truck traffic continues: Polish farmers have completed the blockade in front of the Medika-Shegini checkpoint,” the message said.
According to information from the Border Guard of the Republic of Poland, at 09:30 the protest ended in front of the Medika-Szegini checkpoint.
Registration and passage of cargo vehicles at the border in the direction of entry into Ukraine is carried out as usual.
“The border guards together with the control services are working to ensure the passage of the maximum number of trucks,” the State Border Guard Service added.
Border guards also urge drivers to consider this information when planning international transportation.
As you know, at the end of November, Polish farmers joined the blockade of carriers at the Ukrainian border. They plan to protest until January 3.
The day before it became known that the Ukrainian and Polish sides agreed on an action plan to unblock border checkpoints for trucks.
Meanwhile, today almost 4,000 trucks are lined up at the border between Ukraine and Poland.
