On December 22, air defense units destroyed 17 Shahed-131/136 UAVs launched from the temporarily occupied Crimea. In particular, 10 drones landed in the Nikolaev region, four in the Kherson region, and three more in the Odessa region. The Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine reported this on Telegram.
However, unfortunately, there were also hits. In the Nikolaev region, a fire broke out at one of the infrastructure facilities, which has already been extinguished. There were no casualties. And in the Odessa region, the port infrastructure was under attack. The air defense worked effectively, but debris from the downed drone damaged the granary. The resulting fire was quickly extinguished. There were also no casualties recorded.
Let us remind you that on the night of December 22, the invaders launched 28 Shahed-type attack drones from Russia and occupied Crimea. Aviation, anti-aircraft missile units and mobile fire groups managed to shoot down 24 suicide bombers within the Kyiv, Odessa, Nikolaev, Kherson, Zhytomyr, Rivne and Khmelnytsky regions.
