This was reported by the press service of the Czech police.
It is noted that the shooting occurred in an educational institution on Jan Palach Square.
Subsequently, the police reported that there was only one shooter and he was eliminated.
“Based on preliminary information, we can confirm that there are dead and injured at the scene,” the message says.
In particular, a possible photo of the shooter appeared on the Internet, standing on one of the buildings in dark clothes. According to local media, he used a long-barreled weapon with a telescopic sight.
The Prague rescue service reports numerous casualties:
- a total of 11 dead, including the attacker;
- nine seriously wounded;
- five to six moderately injured;
- up to ten lightly wounded.
The numbers may still change, the department notes.
