It was almost a month before Mikhail returned. Now he is in Khmelnitsky, where his sister lives.
Another teenager was returned from temporarily occupied territory to territory controlled by the Ukrainian government. The press service of the Ministry of Reintegration reported this today, December 21.
“About a month ago, the director of the Mariupol Vocational Construction College, Anton Bilay, contacted the Ministry of Reintegration. He asked for help in getting 17-year-old Mikhail from the VOT. Anton Bilay has already experienced – he used to get two orphans from college in the controlled territory of free Ukraine. Despite the danger to himself, he personally followed them to temporarily occupy Donetsk, “said the message.
To save Mikhail, Anton Belay turned to the Ministry of Reintegration and the Public Union Ukrainian Network for Children’s Rights.
“It took about a month before Mikhail came back. Now he is in Khmelnitsky. His sister also lives there. His dream came true, because the boy dreamed of starting his adult life in a free Ukraine,” the ministry reported.
It was previously reported that they had returned to Ukraine two children from the temporarily occupied territories, as well as a child who was in Russia.
Let us remind you that the Ukrainian authorities have official data on the deportation of almost 20 thousand children to Russia.
