The international community must provide a strong and unified response to North Korea’s “reckless” nuclear development and missile launches.

G7 foreign ministers condemned North Korea’s ballistic missile launch and called on the UN Security Council to respond, Barron’s reports.

It was noted that the representatives of the G7 states said on Tuesday that a tough and unified response to the “reckless” nuclear development and missile launch of North Korea is required from the international community.

“North Korea’s repeated reckless actions must be met with a swift, united and decisive international response, especially from the United Nations Security Council,” the G7 foreign ministers said.

Since North Korea conducted its first nuclear test in 2006, the UN Security Council has passed numerous resolutions calling on it to end its nuclear and missile programs. But China and Russia, which support North Korea, do not want the Security Council to impose new sanctions against it.

Let’s recall that yesterday the DPRK announced the successful test of a solid-fuel ballistic missile.
