The President of Israel proposed to take another humanitarian pause and skip further humanitarian aid for the sake of freeing the captives.
Israel has announced its readiness for a new ceasefire in exchange for the release of other hostages held by Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip. President Isaac Herzog announced this to the ambassadors of 80 countries on Tuesday, reports The Times of Israel.
It was noted that the Duke received ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps from more than 80 countries to discuss the situation in Israel and the Gaza Strip. He told the ambassadors that Israel was ready to enter into a new agreement for the return of hostages and described Israel’s humanitarian efforts in the Gaza Strip.
“I can confirm that Israel is ready for another humanitarian pause and additional humanitarian assistance to ensure the release of the hostages,” the Israeli president said.
He also emphasized that the responsibility for the situation in the Gaza Strip rests entirely with Hamas leader Yahya Sinwari and the terrorist leadership.
Intelligence agencies believe that Sinwar was one of the key organizers of the October 7 terrorist attack.
Let’s remember that on December 1, the Israel Defense Forces announced the end of the truce with Hamas and the resumption of the conflict in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli government says Hamas is holding another 137 hostages in the Gaza Strip.
