How will the situation with American aid to Ukraine develop if Donald Trump becomes US President again, the journalist asked.
Zelensky said to this:
I think he will have a completely different policy.
During the election campaign, Trump repeatedly objected to the allocation of new military aid to Ukraine and suggested that Kyiv and Moscow agree on peace.
If the policy of the next president, whoever he may be, is different, colder or more economical, then I think these signals will greatly influence the course of the war in Ukraine. Because this is how the whole world works. If one strong part falls out, the mechanism begins to crumble,” Zelensky said.
Zelensky recalled that the United States is now in first place in the world in providing assistance to Ukraine.
