It is reported that on December 18, the police received a message from a resident of the Oratov community that in the village of Novozhivotov, in the cemetery with the graves of the four defenders, unknown persons damaged the photo frames and took their pictures.
A few hours later, the police arrested the vandal in the neighboring village where he lived.
“The 35-year-old detainee was previously prosecuted for theft. On the morning of December 18, according to him, while drunk, he entered the cemetery, broke the frames on the graves, took pictures, and then he threw away,” the police added.
The issue of reporting a suspected attacker is being resolved.
We remind you that recently unknown people cut down an oak tree planted on December 13 in Kyiv in memory of Kiev activist Roman Ratushny, who died in June last year in the Kharkov region. The oak should be a symbol of Ukraine’s struggle for independence and a living reminder of the price of our freedom.
