Bloomberg reviewed a letter from Pentagon Comptroller Michael McCord dated December 15.
It says the U.S. Department of Defense is now spending its final $1.07 billion. for the purchase of new weapons and equipment instead of those sent to Ukraine.
Once these funds are spent, the Ministry will exhaust our available funds to assist Ukraine.
To protect the military’s readiness, unless Congress approves additional spending, only one additional spending package will be possible, McCord wrote.
He was apparently referring to the $200 million military aid package to Ukraine that US President Joe Biden announced at a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky on December 11.
