“The situation is troubling,” the organization said in a statement.

It is learned that Boubaker Ben-Belhassen, Director of Markets and Trade Department of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), said that the situation around Ukraine could lead to an increase in the number of hungry people in the world. of 11-19 million people in 2022-2023.

Ben-Belhassen explained that countries in the Middle East and North Africa, which are heavily dependent on imports of wheat, vegetables and sunflower oil, are now at the greatest risk.
