The Ukrinform agency reports this with reference to informed sources.
According to the agency’s interlocutor, the airport was an important target, since it is the location of the 559th Bomber Aviation Regiment of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
According to agency sources, there were up to 20 SU-34 aircraft at the airfield at the time of the strike. Also on the airfield there were three radar stations and other equipment.
The airfield was attacked by drones. And although Russia has traditionally managed to declare that all the UAVs were shot down, in reality the Service, together with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, inflicted a significant defeat on the enemy’s equipment, the agency’s source noted.
