An employee of the French Foreign Ministry was injured during the Israeli shelling of Rafah.
A French diplomat was killed in the Gaza Strip. The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced this on December 16.
It is known that the man was seriously injured in the Israeli bombing of Rafah on December 13. He was at the house of one of his colleagues from the French Consulate General, along with two other employees and many members of their families.
According to the Foreign Ministry, approximately ten more people were killed due to the shooting.
“France condemns the bombing of a residential building, which resulted in the death of many civilians. We ask that the Israeli authorities shed light on the circumstances of this incident as soon as possible,” the statement said.
Let’s recall that on December 5, the Israel Defense Forces announced the third phase of a ground operation against the Hamas group, targeting militant centers in southern Gaza.
