They managed to return to Ukraine two children from the temporarily occupied territories, as well as one child who was on the territory of Russia. This was announced by the head of the Presidential Office, Andrei Ermak, on Telegram on Saturday, December 16.
“We continue to fulfill the tasks of President Vladimir Zelensky. Our children are coming home. Through the joint efforts of our team and the Ombudsman of Ukraine Dmitry Lubinets, through the State of Qatar, we are returning three kids,” she wrote.
The head of the OP reported that two children born in 2008 and 2012 were managed to be removed from the VOT, and they were reunited with their mother. At the same time, the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Dmitry Lubinets, reported that the children (brother and sister) were in the occupied part of the Kherson region.
The Ombudsman also noted that the third child was in Russia, his mother brought him to the territory of Georgia.
“The third boy, born in 2011, was also next to his mother. With the help of the Ombudsman’s Office, his mother brought him to the territory of Georgia. The boy sought to return to Ukraine from the Russian Federation to his mother, after his father took him out without permission,” Lubinets wrote on Telegram.
Let us remind you that the Ukrainian authorities have official data on the deportation of almost 20 thousand children to Russia.
Earlier, Russia said that since the beginning of the war, about 4.8 million Ukrainian citizens have been taken to its territory, more than 700 thousand of them are children.
