Iran announces execution of an “Israeli agent”

The murdered man allegedly collected secret information and, with the involvement of accomplices, gave documents to foreign intelligence services.

In the southeastern Iranian province of Sistan and Baluchistan, a man described as an agent of the Israeli intelligence service Mossad was killed. This was reported by the Iranian agency IRNA on Saturday, December 16.

“This individual contacted foreign services, including the Mossad, collected classified information and, with the involvement of accomplices, provided documents to foreign services, including the Mossad,” said of the report.

The death sentence for this man was carried out in Zahedan Prison this morning. The man was hanged. However, the Iranian agency did not disclose the name of the person killed.

Earlier, 17-year-old Hamidrez Azari was hanged in Iran. The case file says he “killed a man in a fight” in May. At that time the young man was 16 years old.

Also in Iran, a court decided to stone a woman for adultery. This is the court’s first verdict since 2017.
