The new batch, which Vilnius handed over to Kyiv, contains several million rounds of ammunition and several thousand ammunition for short-range man-portable anti-tank grenade launchers. The package also included about a thousand sophisticated clamshells. The assistance was allocated from the Lithuanian Armed Forces, the press service of the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense reported.
We hear Ukraine’s urgent requests and continue to provide support in accordance with the stated needs. We actively encourage our allies to do the same,” said Defense Minister Arvydas Anusauskas.
It is noted that the Lithuanian authorities have developed a long-term plan to support Ukraine. In particular, in the next three years, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive a package of military assistance in the amount of 200 million euros.
Let us remind you that on December 14, Estonia announced a new package of military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 80 million euros. The Ukrainian Armed Forces plan to transfer Javelin anti-tank missiles, various vehicles and vessels, machine guns and small arms ammunition and diving equipment.
