Evgeny Borisov spent more than 4.5 million euros on two real estate properties in the Spanish city of Marbella.
Ukrainian law enforcement officers and Spanish police conducted searches of the real estate of the former head of Odessa Regional TsK and JV of Odessa Evgeniy Borisov, located in Spain. The State Bureau of Investigation reported this on Thursday, December 14.
The investigation established that Borisov acquired two properties in the city of Marbella, province of Malaga.
In particular, in December 2022, he arranged the purchase in his mother’s name of a house worth more than 4 million euros, with a total area of 857 sq. m on a land plot of 1530 sq. m. And in February 2023, he and his wife bought an office space worth more than 500 thousand euros with a total area of 223.9 square meters. m.
Searches were conducted at both sites, where documents proving the right of ownership and disposal of the aforementioned property by members of the Borisov family were taken.
“Based on the evidence collected and at the request of the State Bureau of Investigation, the competent authorities of the Kingdom of Spain seized this villa and office space,” the statement said.
We remind you that on June 28, Odessa military commissar Evgeniy Borisov was fired. This happened after a strong scandal: journalists discovered his family’s property worth millions of euros in Spain. Real estate and expensive cars have been acquired during a massive war.
On July 25, the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv chose a preventive measure for Borisov – detention for two months with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of 150 million Hryvnia.
