It is the transport hub of Kyiv and after the emergency closure of several stations of the “blue” line of the Kyiv metro, it is packed with passengers.
Due to the closure of six metro stations, long queues formed at Lybidskaya. The Metro runs between Lybidskaya and Heroes of the Dnieper.
Eyewitnesses claim that the crowd stretched 50 meters in length. Considering that this station is the next one on the line after the closed ones, such a crowd is not surprising.
Trains on the “blue” line of the Kyiv metro now run between the stations “Lybidskaya” and “Geroev Dnepra”.
The Kiev Metro is developing an option to launch shuttle traffic using an intact tunnel in the section between closed stations.
Director of the Department of Transport Infrastructure of the Kyiv City State Administration Ruslan Kandibor said this at a briefing. According to him, the interval of such a train will be up to half an hour.
