Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky attended Javier Miley’s inauguration in Buenos Aires
The inauguration of the newly elected President of Argentina, Javier Miley, took place in Buenos Aires on December 10. It was reported by Reuters.
Miley’s inauguration was attended by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. Previously, he held meetings in Buenos Aires with the presidents of Paraguay, Uruguay and Ecuador.
“The support and strong united voice of Latin American states supporting the Ukrainian people in the war for our freedom and democracy is very important to us,” Zelensky said.
Miley, 53, is a former television pundit who gained notoriety for her lewd remarks about rival China and the Pope.
The agency said Miley’s election marks a big gamble for Argentina – the new president’s economic shock therapy plan of deep spending cuts has been well received by investors and could stabilize the struggling economy, but it risks pushing more people into poverty as more than two-fifths of the country’s population already live in poverty.
Let’s remember that last November Javier Miley was elected president of Argentina. He has been compared to former US leader Donald Trump and former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro. But at the same time he hates Russian President Vladimir Putin.
