The north of the Donetsk region is temporarily without power due to the activation of protection at the Slavyanskaya Thermal Power Plant.
A number of settlements in the north of the Donetsk region were left without electricity supply as a result of the activation of protection at the Slavyansk thermal power plant. The acting Head of the regional military administration, Igor Moroz, reported this on Telegram on Sunday, December 10.
“The automatic protection system worked at the Slavyanskaya Thermal Power Plant. As a result, the 110 kV and 330 kV power grids were de-energized. Populated areas in the northern part of the region were without electricity supply,” wrote he.
According to Moroz, specialists from DTEK, together with employees of Slavyanskaya TPP, identified the reasons for the operation of the automatic protection system. “After determining the causes, the network will be resumed or recovered according to other methods,” he added.
We remind you that on the night of December 8, explosions took place in Kherson, after which the light went out in some places. In addition, Russian troops again opened fire on one of the thermal power plants in the front-line region.
