Representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine Andrey Demchenko announced this on the air of a national telethon, the RBC-Ukraine agency reports today, December 8.
According to Demchenko, in Poland there are about 3.3 thousand trucks in queues waiting to leave for Ukraine:
- the largest queue is opposite the Shegini checkpoint – about 1.2 thousand trucks;
- opposite the Rava-Russkaya checkpoint – 850 trucks;
- Traffic is most complicated at the Yagodin and Rava-Russkaya checkpoints.
If we talk about certain categories of cargo, they move. These include humanitarian cargo and other important cargo that Ukraine needs. But I cannot say that everyone has the opportunity to cross the border freely,” Demchenko noted.
Demchenko noted that the Ugrinov checkpoint continues to operate:
- over the past 24 hours, about 100 empty trucks passed from Ukraine to Poland through this checkpoint;
- There are about 270 more trucks waiting in line.
However, the speaker of the State Tax Service notes, the opening of another checkpoint for empty trucks did not ease the blockade of the border by Polish carriers.
