The mayor’s wife began to persuade Anfisa to the Arian teaching, which denied the unity of God the Father and Jesus Christ, and offered to accept Arian baptism, but the girl refused. The lady was vindictive, did not accept rejection, and Anfisa was thrown into prison. After the torture, the Christian woman was burned at the stake.
