Ignat noted that mobile fire groups are showing better and better results in destroying enemy targets.
Air Force spokesman Yuri Ignat said the Russian drone attack on Ukrainian territory that night was typical and no different from previous ones. He said this on the telethon.
“Today there was a typical attack in terms of the number of UAVs. 18 were launched, 15 were shot down by the Defense Forces. Basically everything landed in the Odessa region and included the Khmelnitsky region. The air defense works, again the mobile fire groups, showing better and better results,” – he noted.
According to Ignat, the Odessa region, port infrastructure, and Ukrainian grain are of concern to the invaders. Strikes are carried out after a certain pause, “they probably haven’t flown there for more than a month.”
“The attack was planned in advance, it is clear that they use different routes. The entry points to the Ukrainian airspace – from the occupied territories or from the territory of Russia from the north – are the regions of Kursk and Bryansk. In the end, they are the same, in fact they do not change anything by entering it once from the southeast direction, this time Cape Chauda of the occupied Crimea, there is also the Primorsk-Akhtarsk direction . They entered the occupied territory of the Zaporozhye region and from there flew on different routes,” said the representative of the Air Force.
Let’s remember that the other day, Russian troops launched 50 attack drones of the Shahed-136/131 type across Ukraine, 41 of which were destroyed.
