From December 4, empty heavy vehicles with a total permissible weight of more than 7.5 tons will be allowed to enter Poland.
The Ugrinov-Dolgobychev checkpoint will be opened for the passage of empty trucks. The State Border Service of Ukraine reported this on December 3.
It was noted that from 01:00 on December 4, empty heavy vehicles with a total permissible weight of more than 7.5 tons (except empty uncleaned tanks) will start passing from Ukraine to Poland.
“The opening of Ugrinov is the first item in the list of measures implemented to unblock the border, reduce queues and increase the capacity of the Ukrainian-Polish border,” the State Border Guard Service emphasizes.
The previous day, Polish Minister of Infrastructure Alvin Gayadur said that Warsaw has strengthened control over Ukrainian carriers, especially on access roads to checkpoints where the blockade is taking place.
