The administration of the state institution “Kiev Pre-trial Detention Center” is preparing an appeal to the State Bureau of Investigation and the Qualification and Disciplinary Commission of the Bar regarding the actions of the lawyers of People’s Deputy Alexander Dubinsky, who recently reported that their client was beaten in his cell by unknown persons.

The corresponding message was published today, December 3, on the government agency’s Facebook page.
The pre-trial detention center notes that an ambulance brigade and units of the National Police were called in response to a possible beating of Dubinsky. As a result:
- an examination of Dubinsky by emergency doctors showed a satisfactory state of health and no grounds for hospitalization outside the pre-trial detention facility;
- The set of measures carried out by the National Police (including a forensic medical study) did not find confirmation of the information about the beating of the people’s deputy.
The administration of the pre-trial detention center is also preparing an appeal to the DBI and the KSCA about the actions of the suspect’s lawyers, the report says.
