The Russian authorities are probably trying to suppress public discontent among the Russian mobilized squads.

Publications by independent Russian media and statements and comments by those most expressing their protest sentiments indicate that the dictatorship in recent weeks has begun to offer mobilized money to families in exchange for remaining silent. This is stated in the report of the British Ministry of Defense on December 2.
According to foreign intelligence information, on November 27 of this year, one of the well-known online groups of Russian mobilized squads published a manifesto against the so-called indefinite mobilization. Subsequently, this group was accused of spreading fake news. It is possible that this happened at the instigation of pro-Kremlin authors.
The British note that the dictatorship is likely to be particularly sensitive to any protests related to citizens mobilized in September 2022, who have been on the front line for more than a year.
Let us recall that in October the Main Intelligence Directorate reported that the current rate of mobilization of Russians for the war against Ukraine is more than 20 thousand people per month. The dictatorship recruits not only prisoners, but also debtors and representatives of unreliable categories of the population. The enemy is also mobilizing conscripts. Volunteers do not sign up for war without the help of others.
