The Israeli Prime Minister’s foreign policy adviser Ofir Falk told the media that the plan is based on a three-level process, including: the destruction of Hamas, the demilitarization of Gaza and the deradicalization of the enclave.

The media said that the initiative does not indicate an imminent end to Israel’s offensive, however, it shows that it is going beyond established Arab mediators such as Egypt or Qatar in its desire to shape the post-war structure of Gaza.
The representative of the UAE, in a comment to the news agency, did not directly answer the question of whether Abu Dali was informed of the intention to create a buffer zone, but noted that his country “will support any agreements after the war agreed upon by all interested parties.”
However, Arab countries have called Israel’s intentions to destroy Hamas impossible.
In the past, Israel has suggested the possibility of creating a buffer zone inside Gaza. Israeli troops withdrew from the enclave in 2005.
One of the American officials confirmed the information that Israel really shared the idea of creating a buffer zone. At the same time, he noted that the White House opposes any plan that reduces the size of the Palestinian territory.
