Hamas militants on Thursday, November 30, handed over six more Israeli hostages to the Red Cross. Earlier, on November 30, the Red Cross handed over to Israel two hostages released by Hamas militants, the IDF and The Times of Israel reported.
According to preliminary data, the six released are currently on their way to Israel via Egypt, where they will be met by IDF soldiers. At the meeting point, security personnel will verify the identity of the freed hostages. IDF officers will provide the families of the hostages with the latest available information.
Before this, Hamas released two more hostages – identified as Mia Sham, 21 years old and Amit Sussan, 40 years old.
The exchange came after a tenuous truce between Israel and the Palestinian militant group, which took effect last week, was extended at the last minute on Thursday morning. If no agreement is reached, it will end on Friday morning.
The day before it was reported that Hamas had released a new group of hostages. Before that, Hamas released five groups of hostages, the last of which was released on Monday night.
