In the Rivne region, a businessman was detained who was trying to sell weapons to the occupiers, which he received due to connections from the sites of former battles in the liberated areas in eastern and southern Ukraine. The attacker stored the “product” at his home and delivered it in his car. This was reported by the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine.
During the searches, an AK-12 Kalashnikov assault rifle, four F-1, RGO and RGN grenades and more than 500 rounds of ammunition for small arms of various calibers were found and confiscated from the man.
And in Kolomna, the SBU detained a local resident who was trying to sell three AK-74 assault rifles and a Stechkin pistol with cartridges to criminals. Also, during the searches, almost 50 m of explosive cord, live grenades, silencers for small arms and armor-piercing ammunition were found on the merchant. The attacker kept all this “good” in a hiding place, which he set up in an unfinished building near the private house of one of his relatives.
Both detainees were informed of suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 263 (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. They face up to seven years in prison.
Let us remind you that in Nikolaev the SBU detained a Russian agent who was trying to identify possible locations of military airfields with military aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The attacker also recorded Ukrainian objects and then transmitted the report to the enemy in the form of text and photographs with location reference.
