Aerospace concert Boeing Co. received from the US Air Force an additional order for 15 KC-46A Pegasus tanker aircraft worth a total of $2.3 billion. Deliveries will be made by the end of July 2027. This was said in a statement.
It is noted that the total number of orders for KC-46A aircraft in the world is now at 153. The company has already delivered 76 such aircraft to the US Air Force, and the Japanese Air Force has received two more tankers.
Suppose NATO is replacing AWACS aircraft with the new Boeing E-7A Wedgetails as the Alliance’s current fleet is nearing the end of its service life. The first modified Boeing E-7A Wedgetail aircraft will be ready for combat missions in 2031.
