We need to find a way to expel the aggressor country from the OSCE. This was stated by Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba during a briefing that the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry broadcast on Facebook.
Also, the chief diplomat of Ukraine spoke about North Macedonia, which allowed Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to participate in the OSCE meeting in Skopje. Kuleba recalled that throughout the year the Macedonian authorities supported Ukraine in principle and consistently.
According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Lavrov was invited to the meeting because some OSCE member countries believe that this will save the organization from complete collapse due to the need to make a budget and decisions on chairmanship and reassignment of leadership. However, according to Kuleba, Russia should be expelled from the OSCE.
But I believe that if we really want to save the OSCE, then we must either re-establish the OSCE without Russia, or find a way to expel Russia from the OSCE. That’s all,” he said.
As is known, the Russian Federation continues to remain a member state of the OSCE, despite the armed aggression against Ukraine. Moscow also influences important decisions within the organization.
Let us remind you that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba will boycott the OSCE ministerial meeting due to the presence of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at it. The Baltic countries also decided to boycott the summit in Skopje.
