Agricultural products of Ukrainian origin were also banned. In addition, a special regime has been introduced for the transit of such products from Ukraine through the territory of Slovakia. Slovaks call this a reaction to the lack of a pan-European systemic solution. The corresponding decision was made by the Slovak government headed by Prime Minister Robert Fico. The Slovak media SITA writes about this.
At first, the ban affected wheat, corn, rapeseed and sunflower seeds. However, now the Cabinet of Ministers has extended the ban to 14 goods, to which honey, malt, sugar, wheat flour, soybeans, cane sugar, barley and wheat bran have been added.
Earlier it was reported that Hungary and Slovakia opposed the provision of 50 billion euros to Ukraine. Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico referred to problems of corruption in Ukraine, while his Hungarian counterpart Viktor Orban said that “EU support is not working.”
And on November 21, the Slovak parliament voted for a program providing for the termination of state military assistance to Ukraine.
