The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported the release of another group of 12 Hamas hostages. The militants handed them over to representatives of the Red Cross, according to the IDF Telegram channel.
It is known that among those released are 10 Israelis and two Thai citizens. After undergoing a preliminary medical examination, they will be flown by helicopter to hospitals in Israel.
“The freed hostages are being sent to hospitals, where they will be reunited with their families,” the statement said.
Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid bin Mohammed al-Ansari said on social media X (Twitter) that among those released were nine women and a child.
“One of the women has Austrian citizenship, two have Argentine citizenship, and one has Philippine citizenship,” said a spokesman for the Qatari Foreign Ministry.
Before this, Hamas released five groups of hostages. The last group was freed on Monday night when the militants freed 11 Israeli hostages.
