The cause was an uncontrolled rupture of a water-filled pipeline. Four people died.
An accident occurred at the Sobieski Mine in the city of Jaworzno in southern Poland on Tuesday, November 28, resulting in the death of four miners, reports Zachod.pl.
It was learned that six miners were working to flush the pipeline in the slipway.
“During the filling of the water pipeline, an uncontrolled breakthrough occurred, as a result of which three people died on the spot,” the publication quoted a statement from the Higher Mining Authority in the city of Katowice.
Another person was later confirmed dead.
Two miners were rescued and their lives are not in danger.
We remind you that the other day in South Africa, an elevator collapsed in a mine, killing 11 workers who had finished their shift and were on their way to the surface.
Earlier in Kazakhstan, in the Karaganda region, a methane explosion occurred at the Kostenko mine, killing more than 20 miners.
