Polish President Andrzej Duda presented his credentials to the new Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Ukraine, Jaroslaw Guza. This was reported by the diplomat’s wife, the general director of Belsat TV channel, journalist Agnieszka Romaszewska-Guzy.
Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau presented to Jaroslaw Guzy the order of appointment as ambassador to Ukraine on October 24.
As Ukrinform writes, Yaroslav Guzy is a sociologist by training, and during the communist era he carried out active opposition activities, for which he was interned. In the early 1990s, he was an adviser to the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Poland and engaged in entrepreneurship. Jaroslaw Guzy replaces Bartosz Cichocki, who has held this position since February 2019, as Ambassador of Poland to Ukraine. Tsikhotsky was the only EU ambassador left in Kyiv on February 24, 2022, when Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine began. He has returned to Poland.
